What is Yoga?

Trinity Yoga is based on the Kripalu yoga approach. Harshad (Jeff) and Sonya spent their developing years in yoga as practitioners of the Kripalu style, delving deeply into the depths of the Kripalu practices. Much of the advanced work in the Kripalu tradition becomes powerfully transformational. Addressing and engaging some of the core beliefs systems of the self. The unique style of Kripalu gives a lot of permission for that exploration of self. Self development and exploration continues off the yoga mat. Sonya and Harshad recognized the benefit of that personal development work, within the context of yoga. Meaning, it included an integrated body/mind approach. Therefore, attempts were made, on the yoga mat, and in life, to explore, identify and potentially change the long held attitudes and behaviours which create suffering and stress. Our commitment, at Trinity Yoga, is to continue our own development and transformation as leaders and teachers, which then allows us to stay in communication and relationship with developing students in their own process.
